In 1997 the South Beach Group was born with the purchase of The Shelley Hotel. Following in short order came The Chesterfield, The Lily Guesthouse, The Mercury Resort, The Whitelaw Hotel, The Hotel Chelsea and most recently the Leon Hotel. Each of these properties have been renovated and completely restored to their original designs. The Miami Beach Preservation League has acknowledged the hotels’ historic renovations and The Whitelaw recently won the “Best Architectural Rehab” award.

The South Beach Group is nationally recognized for owning hotels in premium locations and offering high end accommodations at unbeatable prices. The unique designs and party-friendly attitudes of the boutique properties have made them recognized South Beach Hot Spots and a frequent destination of celebrities such as Heidi Klum, Tyson Beckford, Alonso Mourning, Oronde Gadsden, Tara Reid, P Diddy, Dennis Rodman, Jammie Fox and Jada Pinkett Smith amongst many others. This season alone the hotels hosted the Playboy Party team, Victoria Secret Pink models and Girls Gone Wild.
